Every wonderful evening ends at Lotus.. hehehhe

It’s been a while since I last updated my blog, it seems like I’m only updating it twice a week. I’ve been very busy … work work work! All I have to look forward to is my weekend!

I met up with my ex colleague Annie yesterday, I haven’t seen her for awhile because she is caught up with her work. I met up with her for breakfast at 9am, she had problems with her CPU so I recommended a shop where she can get it fixed. Annie looks great, she is 47 years old and doesn’t look her age at all!. She is a chindian, divorcee with 2 sons and already a grandmother heheh…. I use to go clubbing with her every alternate Saturdays when we were still attached with our previous company. I invited her to join us to secret place when Cleo comes to visit KL. She is looking forward to join and meeting the gang and hang out.

After meeting up with Annie I went over to Giant to meet Azie. She wanted to open a bank account at RHB. I ended up opening an account there too. I plan to save some money and put it to good use or maybe for emergencies, it’s about time I took it abit more seriously …hehehe hopefully I won’t get tempted to use it for shopping..heheh. Anyway, after filling up the forms Azie notice she left her I/C at home so she had to hold on to it. One good thing about RHB is they are also open even on Sundays up to 4pm. We decided to go for lunch at Friends restaurant but unfortunately, business hours only starts after 3pm. We ended up driving to Burger Kings in Bukit Antarabangsa instead and headed home after that.

After dropping Azie of at her place, I drove over to my Aunties place to pick my mother up to buy her 4D numbers…heheheh. That’s 1 of my Saturday routines actually, it’s a MUST do on my list! Other wise she’ll put up a long face and get upset at me. She is addicted to it, like most people I know. My mother is very lucky, somehow she always wins every week…. I keep my fingers cross for the 1st prize ..ehhhe I benefit from that she always gives me an ang pow if she strikes it big!!!. None of my brothers and sister has that trade, including me…. we are not into buying 4D numbers, maybe its because we are not as lucky as her! ..ehhehe.

I was back by 4.30pm and manage to get 1 hour sleep before taking a shower and going out again. Azie was kind enough to pick me up and drop me off at the LRT station as usual ..hehhe because I’m still not daring enough to drive and park at KLCC myself. I manage to get the tickets to watch Charlie and the chocolate factory, and did some window shopping.

I had a wonderful evening with Recky. We had dinner and watched the live band at Shrooms. It’s very entertaining to watch the girls “gelek-gelek sambil bergolek” hehe.
Must make a point to take Cleo there one day, I bet she will enjoy the entertainment as much as we did. Anyway the movie was great I enjoyed it so much. I remember watching the original film when I was 7 years old I think. After 20 years I’m watching it again only thing is it’s a new film and even better then the last one! Johnny Deep played the role so well *giggles* those little guys are so cute ..heheh I would love to watch it again. As usual after the we headed to Lotus for a drink and chit chat to end the evening :o)

I must make a point to go back to KLCC one of these days and buy a shoe :o) I saw some nice ones but just didn’t have enough time to try and actually buying one. Seriously I only have 4 good pair of shoes!! The last one I bought was way back in January I think when I had to attend a charity ball for special needs children. It was a very formal dinner to help raise money to build a centre for the special needs children, there were lots of VIP guess. It was a generous invitation I couldn’t say NO to! Anyway…I bought my last pair of shoes specially for that function ..ehhhehe so it’s about time I bought a new pair don’t you think!! *grins*.

Until my next entry … Adios!!

Weddings?

I’m inspired to write after reading babysiew’s blog about wedding and marriage. Yes it’s true I’m not the type that likes to go for weddings dinners or parties.

I know a lot of people who would like to have a grand wedding. One of my colleague is budgeting a RM30,000 just for the dinner… she is crazy!. Some people want to celebrate if possible with the whole world. I know it’s a happy day and they want their guests to enjoy themselves. It’s custom for the bride and groom to invite their guests and it’s also a custom for the parents to invite their side of the family and their friends, then there are cases where their family members invite their friends to come too.

One example, My sisters wedding June1990, Portuguese Settlement, Malacca. Portuguese custom the wedding normally lasts 3 days. The wedding reception dinner was held in my grand father’s house *mothers side*.

Friday, 1st day “Bachelors Night” for the groom’s side of cause, my family were busy decorating the bedroom, the wedding car and making the flower arrangements… etc.

Saturday, 2nd day “The Wedding!”. I was only 12 years old and yet to be the bride’s maid. The church ceremony was at 3pm. Both sides of the family ware making some last minutes preparations. At 12 noon my eldest brother, the best man, mans sponsor and future brother in law went out to play pool. My sister was late for her hair do because she was waiting for me and trying to contact her husband, man was he pissed at everyone that day. Three of my cousins went out looking for me and there I was in the field playing softball at 1pm. I rushed to take a bath then went to the hair salon, got my hair done then for the first time in my life I had to wear make up and a pink dress with silver trimmings. It totally ruined my tomboy image. I got teased to the max!

Anyway, we manage to get to church on time. My eldest brother Colin gave my sister away because at that time my father couldn’t walk, so he waited for her at the Alter. The ceremony was lovely. When the time came for the priest to serve the host to the bride and groom the server boys where missing *yes they were my cousins and softball gang* the priest gave a loud yell and out came the server boys. The priest was holding the microphone when he gave the 2 boys a warning about fooling around during mass. Everyone in church heard it and started to giggle then priest said “Silence please” and continued with the ceremony. That was a funny moment…heheh.

After the ceremony we all went to the photo studio to take pictures. My sister had to take her shoes off because she looked taller then her husband. I looked horrible in the group wedding picture. I looked so dark because of the sunburn. I don’t recall anything about the wedding reception in the afternoon, I’m not sure where I was at that time but as soon as I noticed my sister and my new brother in law had left, I felt so sad and started to miss my sister so I went to look for her. She was at her mother in laws place not very far from my grand father’s house. I hang out with them for a while until my sister asked me to go home, get some rest and get ready for the dinner. As I was walking back I saw my group of softball gang playing in the field, I was tempted and joined them again. 6pm my brother Clifton came to drag me back home with his BMX bicycle. I stood at the back as my brother cycle the bicycle really fast and off we went round the settlement and forgot to go home… hehehe everyone was to busy to notice we were gone anyway.

*2nd day still* The Grand Dinner!!!! What a mess that was, everything went on as planned of cause. I remember seeing so many people and I didn’t know any of them. I asked my sister “Who are these people” and she said “How the hell would I know!, all mommies and my in laws people la!!”.. heh!. Anyway, My uncle’s band “The Ghost Riders” played that night, they were awesome!! People dancing everywhere, free flow of beer and food, it was one big fiesta! I remember the look on my sister and brother in laws face… they were happy but very tired. The wedding ended at 2am.

Sunday, 3rd day! “Branu” I’m not sure if I spelled it correctly or not heheheh but it’s another dinner party but only for immediate family, friends and all the people who helped with the wedding preparations. It’s a tradition where the newly weds have to serve the guests everything from food to drinks. It was interesting because each time they served something people will pass remarks, advise, make silly comments, jokes and they just have to accept it.. hehehe. Most Portuguese families in Malacca don’t practice this tradition anymore. They should, It was fun!.

After witnessing what my sister went through during her wedding, I don’t think I want that if I ever get married. It’s suppose to be a special and happy day not a nightmare or disaster!!. If it was me, I imagine a nice religious ceremony, a small reception dinner with family and close friends. Minimum 50 people not more then 100. I don’t want to spend thousands of dollars for 1 day. Nothing fancy so that all the arrangements can be plan by me, plain and simple but memorable. That’s my idea of a perfect wedding. But if the in laws or my side of the family want to invite their relatives and friends, we can always organize a nice dinner or gathering another day to celebrate... That’s how I would want it to be…heheh ok what!

Anyway, I’m too young to think about settling down. I’m enjoying my life to the fullest and I don’t intend to give it all up at the moment. I like the “Live wild be free” concept…hhehe I’m hopeless really. Who ever marries me is a very unlucky man and who ever does better have this qualities… HE better be a good cook because I certainly can’t, HE must be able to wash forks and spoons.. I’ll wash everything else in the sink except those… I always leave the forks and spoons out I don’t know why, HE must be able to work a washing machine without blowing things up… not like I blew things up or anything like that while washing clothes…. Ok! But I’ve seen it happen before.

Until my next blog… Adios!

In Loving Memory…"Aaron"

In case no one notice I have run out of ideas to write ..ehheeh I found my old book where I use to write songs while cleaning the house on Saturday. Inside the book I found a picture of my cousin Aaron when he was a teenager.

Aaron and I were very close he was like a little brother to me. I use to look out for him when I was in secondary school. He looked up to me and he always came to me when he needed advise. Being in a family with very high ranking military officers wasn’t easy for him. They expected so much and he was pressured he couldn’t live up to their expectations. Aaron would hang out with me and his best friend Ron until the next morning talking about his dream, and the girl he loves who doesn’t even know he exist. He reached to a point of his life where he just gave up on everything he worked for and even tried to take his own life a few times but luckily he failed to do so. I was very firm with him and I told him that if he tries to do something stupid and doesn’t pull his act together I will do the honors and kill him myself.

Three days later he came over to my place so excited to see me that he drove his father’s car into my gate and dented the car pretty badly and breaking my gate. I felt like killing him at that time but he brought me really good news and I can’t help feeling happy for him. Aaron had decided to join the Royal Malaysian Navy and with his fathers recommendations and references he got in easily and had to leave immediately to Lumut,Perak for his training. I was so proud of him I told him that the next time he comes to see me, I wanted him to be in full uniform and he said “Yes Ma’am!”.

Aaron underwent training at the Royal Naval College, Lumut, Perak. After completing two years of training as a cadet and as a midshipman, he was commissioned Lieutenant Muda on the 22nd June 2004. Lt. Muda Aaron W. Stevenson TLDM had sailed to various countries such as Cambodia, Thailand and Indonesia as part of his training and tour of duty.

His parents were so proud of him and so was I. we all waited for him to come home for Christmas to congratulate him. He told everyone that he want to come home wearing his new Uniform. But sadly he past away on the 20th December 2004, 3 days before his 24th birthday on the 23rd December, the day he was suppose to come home for the holidays.. Aaron’s car broke down on the way back to the base after he had sent his girlfriend home. He was at the side of the road making a call back to the base to let them know that he was out of petrol and stranded on the highway when a lorry hit him. Aaron died instantly. The lorry driver claimed that he didn’t see Aaron’s because it was very dark and by the time he realized it was too late.

Aaron’s mother called my house the next day after identifying the body, she spoke to my mother and told her to break the news to me. I was driving home after therapy at 10pm when my mother called and asked me to come home immediately. I was shocked to hear what has happen it broke my heart. The body had arrived in KL around 8pm, my aunty came to take me to his house before I could go in Aarons two younger brothers came and gave me a big hug, I just burst into tears. I went in the house and saw him in the coffin in full uniform. His face badly bruised and stitched and I thought to my self “This is not how I wanted to see him come home”. His parents were very strong and they accepted the fact that their son was gone. I just couldn’t take it, I sat at the corner crying while the prayers were being conducted.

On the burial day, I was almost late to attending the funeral because of the traffic police and no space to park. Aaron’s mother *who is also relative/cousin* waited for me to come before they sealed the coffin. I manage to see him for the last time and said goodbye I wrote on the scarf a message "Your memory will live on... sleep in peace my brother" my hands were shivering and I had trouble trying to write that message but luckily I did.

The Royal Malaysian Navy gave Aaron a grand funeral, the ceremony was beautiful. All the Lumut base TLDM attended the funeral, everyone in their white uniform giving their last respects to an officer and a friend. Beloved Lt. Muda Aaron, was buried on the 22nd December 2004, he is deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.

Looking at his picture, really brought back a lot of memories. Aaron had so much to live for, he had a bright future. From what I remember he was so happy to finally find someone who loved him for who he was. I know how heart broken his girlfriend must be to find out about his death. My deepest sympathy is for her. I hope she moved on with her life and found someone who could give her all the love and comfort she needs. I know how difficult it is to loose someone you love.

Until my next entry… Adios.

There is always 1 rotten apple, you’ll never know unless you had a taste of it!

Aw! Man … I was reading babysiew’s blog just now…hehehe never ending episode now is it?

Well looks to me that who ever this person is, seems to know her personally. I think this person has a serious MENTAL problem. He/She sounds very envious and jealous of what babysiew has and maybe even jealous of babaysiew herself! Obvious isn’t it!!

Who ever it is, he/she *i think its a she by the way* is probably lonely, has no one special to call their own, so instead of trying to be happy for others they prefer to be miserable and want others to feel miserable too. They just can’t stand the sight of someone being happy and having good things going their way.

Anyway, I shall classify this “Devil Own’s” person a common stalker… harmless and only uses words to harm or maybe hurt peoples feelings. Very annoying though but hey! Everyone has at least one of these idiots in their life. The solution “Just Ignore” the bad comments and hopefully this person will disappear and life goes on! The more attention you give the more they gain from it. It gives them a purpose to continue with their mission in live and that is “To Annoy You”. As long as you are not in harms way... let this person be.. but if things get serious dont take matters into your own hands... Refer to the local authority!

I learned that we have to be more aware of the people we make friends with… keep you friend close but keep your enemies closer! I personally don’t under estimate people and their capability of achieving their true intentions. I admit after going through my experience of being stalked, I’ve become very paranoid. I don’t take things so lightly anymore. I’m more alert and careful now days. I’m like this because I want to be safe and I want the people I care and love to be safe too. It's all in the past and so far I am free from being stalked.

Just… IGNORE! IGNORE! IGNORE! IGNORE! All the bad comments and focus on the good ones!!

Adios!

Jom Karaoke!!! heheh :o)

I slept at 4.30am and woke up yesterday at 8am all excited to go out for karaoke! As usual I had to do all my Saturday morning chores ….Take the dog for a walk, wash the car, do some grocery shopping.

But this week I had to work overtime Za’s mother was not well and had to go see the doctor so she asked if I could do her a favor and give Za a 2 hour therapy session from 3pm to 5pm while she pay a visit to see her doctor. I was sooo tired!! Anyway after therapy I headed to Chris and Nes place… brought my stuff and changed there.

It’s was karaoke night!! All of us sang the last song.. it was a good choice BUT the singing was terrifying ..hahah I had loads of fun and a good laugh.. I like the concept at Newbay. For RM50 it’s worth it… although I do hope they update the choices of songs there… it seems pretty limited.

After karaoke we watched “Stealth” It was ok la... As usual we ended the evening hanging out at Lotus for a while before heading back home. I slept about 4.30am and woke up today at 9am got dressed and went to KLCC at 10.45am to buy tickets to watch another movie “Bewitched” with 3 of my ex-classmates, Lynette and Adeline. We had lunch at sushi king then watched the movie at 12.15pm hehe it was a nice Love comedy film, I enjoyed watching it. We walked around and did some window shopping after the movie..

I was so tired I had to leave a bit early because I was suppose to send my mother to my Aunties place a 4pm. I fell asleep like a baby for 2 hours…hehehe… just woke up to update my blog.. heheh… That’s all for now.. got to go.. Astala vista

Tired.. tired .. tired…

I had a nice dream last night and as usual the bloody alarm rang and I had to wake up. At 6am half awake I had to get out of bed just to let Oscar out to do his business…hehehe. I slept early last night… usually once I wake up I wont go back to bed.. but I kept falling asleep all over the place today.. I finished half of my eyemo even.

Today we had the replacement class in school so I had to rover until all the children go home, it was so hot out side I felt like fainting. Anyway, 2pm everyone went back.. just when I was happy to leave … the principle called in for a short meeting which wasn’t short after all… I got home about 3pm…. Took a shower and I only had half an hour to rest which I sat in the hall and continued to watch Mr. & Mrs. Smith I fell asleep for 10 minutes then went off to work at 4pm.

4.30pm I read the sms Nes sent me, asking if I would like to join him and Chris for dinner, couldn’t reply because I was conducting my session with Zah. I was so tired at the end of today’s session. I was waiting to go home and rest a bit, but then I had to return call to Nes to see what’s the plan… anyway dinner sounded nice at that time.. I was hungry too because I didn’t eat anything the whole day.

Chris, Nes and I had dinner at Suzie’s Corner, I had the cream mushroom soup and the mix grill *beef, lamb, chicken, French beans, carrot and fries toped with delicious brown sauce, heheh i bet that will make your mouths water* heheh yum… Chris was bloody full, I’m also bloody full and Nes also a bloody fool…hhehehe. *Dinner was lovely, always a pleasure to hangout with the 2 of you ..ehhehe thanks for the invitation.*

We finished out dinner around 9.30pm I think then went straight home, took a shower and came online and had a very interesting chat with Cle0…ehheeh *winks and sings* Don’t worry… be happy~ hehehe.
